Software, PMS integration and connectivity options

General card locks are managed with Telcom Card Lock Software. The system is configured to work with the hotel PMS; card-based, Bluetooth mobile key and online architectures are available.

Connectivity options

Card, Bluetooth and online

The Telcom lock family ranges from MIFARE and Temic card-based keyless entry to Bluetooth (BLE) mobile keys and gateway-based online architecture.

  • Card (standalone)

The lock works on its own and opens with the guest card. The last 800 openings are stored in the lock with card type, card number, date and time.

    • MIFARE 13.56 MHz and Temic 125 kHz cards
    • Records are transferred to the data collector via IR
    • 200-user reader option for software-free use (Coral Black, Coral Dark, General Slim)
  • Bluetooth mobile key

The smartphone is used as a mobile key. Keys can be shared with guests by link or QR code, without installing an app.

    • BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) mobile key
    • Key sharing by link or QR without an app
    • CORAL ID: RFID card and Bluetooth mobile key in one lock
  • Online (gateway)

Door readers connect to the system through a gateway. The property grants access remotely and monitors access logs and room status.

    • Remote authorisation
    • Central monitoring of access logs
    • Room status monitoring

Lock management software

Telcom Card Lock Software

General, General Black, General Gold, General Slim, Pios and Coral models are compatible with all versions of Telcom Card Lock Software.

The card management software runs on Windows. Cards are written with a USB-connected MIFARE card encoder; separate permission templates are defined for guest, staff and manager cards.

  • Guest, floor, technical and management cards
  • Permission templates per card type
  • Opening records and reports (depending on model)
  • Energy savers that work with the same card

PMS integration

Compatible with the hotel PMS

The lock system is configured to be compatible with the hotel PMS (property management system). Card permissions are updated at check-in and check-out, and access logs are monitored centrally.

Telcom lock systems have been tested with common PMS software.

Tell us which PMS you use; the technical team will confirm compatibility and the integration method.

Hotel systems integration

General Hotel Management System

The Coral series works fully with General Hotel Management System and integrates with the hotel’s other systems.

  • Front desk management

Guest cards are issued and managed at reception.

  • Staff authorisation

Card-based permissions for housekeeping, technical and management staff.

  • Energy saving

Fully compatible with the energy saver; the same card switches on room power.

  • DND/MUR room panel

Do not disturb and make up room status.

  • Elevator control

    Elevator access control support.

System components

Card encoder, data collector, access controller and cards

A card lock system is completed with auxiliary devices that work with the locks.

  • Card encoder

Connects to a computer via USB and writes permission data to MIFARE cards. Guest, staff and manager cards are prepared with it.

  • Data collector

Reads the last 800 opening records (card type, card number, date and time) from the lock via IR.

  • Common area access controller

Opens hotel, building, floor and suite passage doors with hotel cards, with time-limited access. 12 V supply, dry contact output to drive an electronic lock, and an exit button input.

  • Cards

MIFARE 13.56 MHz and Temic 125 kHz cards, authorised as guest, floor, technical or management cards. The same card also works with energy savers.
